All agw terminals support real time communications with tcp ip interface, it is quite posible to receive the clokings from local and remote locations. Local connectivity is implemented by cabling or using existing tcp ip network.Its setup is straghtforward with alfiegest Software no special requirements are needed. be aware of firewall and other security protection
Agw biometric time clocks are fully stand alone , no need of any running PC ?
Finger print terminals are fully stand alone terminals , it is even posible to enroll new employee's finger prints , time punching and all features are in a complete stand alone mode. PC is only needed to input the punches to generate the needed reports and keep historical info.
How many workstations can be enabled to work with agw time tracking software ?
Any desired configuration is posible but the most common is the following : to install the Software in one server and to setup a shortcut with lan permissions at any desired PC. Alfiegest will execute in the new workstation without need of any further Software instalation..
Web based Software versus Three-Tier Software?
Web based Software is the best solution when lot of online inquires from unlimited PC's are needed and speed is not a must, but a Three Tier structure server based is unbeatable when speed and heavy calculations are needed.

Yes , a special Communications Module is developped for Linux , but we regret to say that Alfiegest Software is only developped up to day for Windows XP , Server 2000 or Window Vista.
